Black History Month is a very important time in our calendar; a time for reflecting on all the things we do not know, all the people whose stories we have never learned, and all the struggles for equality that still go on both at home and around the world.
This year our ACE children have been producing some fantastic learning on Black History game changers and inspirational figures.
This year, each class was assigned a figure from the Black History Month website. These are important black figures in British history who challenged the prejudices of the times in which they lived, defied the people who said that they could not succeed, and lived lives full of achievement which paved the way for others to follow.
We are pleased to present some of our work here for you to read and learn from. Some classes have completed their studies and others will be placed here when they are finished.
