Teaching & Learning Assistant

32.5 hours a week

Can you make a difference to children's learning? We are looking for an exceptional Teaching & Learning Assistant to join our team.

Are you enthusiastic and highly motivated with a proven track record in education and looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy working as part of a team to ensure the best possible outcomes for your pupils and your school? Have you got experience of working with children with SEN? If the answers to these questions are yes, we would love to hear from you. If you are an experienced HLTA we would also be interested to hear from you. We are looking to recruit and experienced Teaching Assistant who has a passion for supporting pupils with complex needs in a mainstream setting. If you enjoy working in a friendly and supportive team and want to do your best to support pupils to flourish and reach their potential, then this could be the perfect role for you.

Our Teaching & Learning Assistants (TLAs) play a key role in providing support for all pupils including pupils with special needs. Teaching & Learning Assistants will work under the direction of the Class teacher to ensure that all pupils can integrate as fully as possible in the activities and learning undertaken in the class and make progress. This role may involve working 1 to 1 with pupils who need more support to access the curriculum. Experience of working with pupils with SEND would be a real asset.

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • 32.5 Hours a week 8.30 – 3.30pm (30 mins lunch) Part-Time hours considered.
  • Surrey Pay Scale 3 minimum based on experience – FTE £21269 - £21776 pro-rata for 32.5 hours to £16349- £16738)
  • Contract: Term Time
