WELCOME to Ashford Church of England Primary School.
I am delighted to introduce myself as the interim Executive Headteacher of the partnership between Laleham and Ashford Church of England Primary Schools from September 2018. Whilst change can be difficult and unsettling, this is an exciting time for the school and I am very much looking forward to working with Mr Austin, the Head of School, and his team, and getting to know the Ashford school community.
On behalf of the staff, children and Governors, I would like to thank you for expressing an interest in our school; we welcome the opportunity to tell you about us.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection judged us to be a GOOD school and well on our way to Outstanding.
We are a two-form entry Voluntary Aided Primary School administered by the London Diocescan Board of Schools and Surrey County Council. Our school has a long history in the community having been established in 1817. We are firmly rooted in Faith but reach out to all.
Today we are very proud to have continued the tradition set by our founders. We believe that children learn best within a happy and secure environment where they feel valued and respected. We aim to provide a rich and varied curriculum. We have high expectations and children are encouraged to have high aspirations, so that they develop to their full potential. We are a faith based but not faith biased learning community, where all children are valued regardless of their faith.
We encourage innovation and creativity and place a special emphasis on learning beyond the classroom through a wide range of additional activities including trips and extra curricular clubs.
Our vision and values are:
We are a caring Christian community where everyone feels valued, safe and adopts an "I can" attitude. All we do is underpinned by our Christian values which means we celebrate individuality and achievements through mutual respect and high aspirations. We believe that each one of us has the ability to achieve our highest potential and dreams, through a journey of life-long learning.
We are sensitive to the anxieties surrounding choosing the right school for your child. We aim to provide parents with information and advice to help guide and reassure them. Naturally, the best way to experience the life at our school is to visit us.
We look forward to meeting you.
